Social Ethics Forum

A center of current Catholic social teaching

The Forum Social Ethics is an initiative of young social ethicists and serves the exchange of young scholars as well as advanced students of the subject social ethics in the German-speaking area. Interested persons from related disciplines are welcome.

Since 1990, the Social Institute Kommende has been organizing young scholars of Christian social ethics in this forum. Excluded from the established circles of professors at that time, young scholars of Catholic Social Teaching and Christian Social Sciences were looking for opportunities to exchange ideas about their research. Many of the current professors in the field of Catholic social teaching, social ethics and Christian social teaching in the German-speaking countries have emerged from this.
