Social-Ethical Education

Christian social ethics urges the concrete just shaping of social conditions and areas of life. Its concern is to protect human freedom and to enable comprehensive social participation for the benefit of all. Themes include both the creation of social structures that are socially and ecologically just and the empowerment of people to commit themselves to the concerns and values of Christian Social Ethics in their personal environment and politically. In this way, they promote self-determination and self- realization.

The offers of the department build a bridge between the church's social proclamation and scientific social ethics on the one hand (reflection) and the everyday practice of the participants on the other hand (practical relevance). They methodically start with the experiences of the participants and bring them into a dialogue about a common just shaping of the circumstances. In addition to individual events, the department is currently focusing on the Social Ethics Forum, the Social Law Study Days and offers for trainees.
